Privacy Policy
Dip Studio (“Dip Studio,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) designs products for companies that often have not announced them yet. We know what it means to be trusted with information, and this page explains, in plain language, what this website collects about you, why, who else sees it, and the choices you have. It applies to dip.studio and to the forms, downloads, and the call scheduler on it.
The short version
A summary so you can find what matters to you. Where it differs from the full policy below, the full policy governs.
- We collect what you type into a form and nothing more. Your name, how to reach you, and what you tell us about your project.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade it to advertisers or data brokers.
- What you tell us about a product stays confidential, whether or not you ever hire us.
- This website uses Google measurement cookies for analytics and, when we run advertising campaigns, to count which ads lead to inquiries. They are on unless you turn them off. The Cookie settings link in the footer turns all of them off in one click, and a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is honored automatically.
- If you start booking a call and leave before finishing, we keep what you had entered so we can email you once to help you finish. Details under Unfinished bookings.
- You can ask us what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Email contact@dip.studio.
What we collect
Information you give us
Every form on this website tells you what it asks for, and we collect only what you enter.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message. After you send it, we may ask one optional question about how you found us.
- Book a Free Call: your name, email address, phone number, anything you tell us about your project, the time zone you chose, and the day and time you picked.
- Free Tooling Estimator: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and the specification you enter (product type, design complexity, primary material, number of components, annual volume, and manufacturing location).
- Guide download: your name and email address, so we can send you the guide.
- Newsletter: your email address, which goes to our newsletter service, MailerLite.
Information we record when you book a call
When you book, our scheduler creates the appointment on our Google Calendar with a Google Meet link, and the booking record carries your name, email, phone, note, time zone, and the time you chose. The confirmation email you receive contains a private link so you can move or cancel the call without contacting us. We also record which page you first landed on, the website that referred you, any campaign tags or advertising click identifiers in the address you arrived with, and the time of your first visit, so we know which of our marketing brought you here.
Information our systems record on their own
Like every website, our server records the IP address, browser type, and pages requested for each visit, in standard access logs. Our form and booking endpoints keep their own short log of each submission (the date, the form, the email address, your IP address, and whether the email was sent) so that a delivery problem can be found and fixed. We rate-limit submissions by IP address to keep automated abuse out, and a hidden field catches most bots; those entries are discarded.
If you start booking a call and do not finish
The scheduler asks for your name and email before it asks for anything else. If you enter them and then leave the page, or pick a time and never press the confirm button, we receive what you had entered up to that point, including the step you reached and the time you had picked if any. We use it for one purpose: to email you once, from Alex, to help you complete the booking. This is disclosed on the form itself, directly under the contact fields.
We do this because people are often interrupted halfway through, and an unfinished booking is usually someone who wanted to talk. If you would rather we did not follow up, reply to that email and say so, or write to the address at the bottom of this page, and we will delete what we hold. Unfinished bookings are deleted automatically after 90 days in any case.
How we use your information
- To answer you, prepare for and hold the call you booked, send you the confirmation, the two reminders (a day before and an hour before), and the link to move or cancel it.
- To send you the guide or the estimate you asked for, and, if you subscribed, the newsletter. Every newsletter email will tell you how to unsubscribe.
- To follow up about your project. If we do and you would rather we did not, tell us and we will stop.
- To understand which pages people read and which marketing brings us inquiries, so we can improve the website and decide where to advertise. We use that information in aggregate.
- To keep the website secure and to find and fix problems.
- To meet legal obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims if we ever have to.
We do not use the details of your product or your project to target advertising at you, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Cookies, local storage, analytics, and advertising
Your choice, and how to change it
Measurement is on from your first visit, and we do not interrupt you with a banner to say so: this page is the notice. Turning it off is one click on the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Declining also deletes the cookies this website set, nothing on the website stops working, and your choice is saved so it holds on later visits. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat that as a decline and no measurement loads at all. You can change your mind at any time with the same link.
Cookies
This website sets cookies from Google and from no one else, and only if you have not declined. Analytics cookies (_ga and one named for our analytics property) tell us which pages people read and how they found us; IP addresses are truncated before Google stores them. Advertising measurement cookies (_gcl_au, and _gcl_aw if you arrived by clicking one of our ads) are set while we advertise with Google, and they do one thing: record that a visit came from an advertisement so that Google can report to us which ads produce inquiries. We do not use them to follow you to other websites, we run no retargeting or remarketing, and we build no advertising audiences from this website. If that ever changes, this page will change first.
Local storage
Our scheduler saves a small record in your browser's local storage holding the campaign tags described above, the page you first landed on, the site that referred you, and the time of your first visit. Your privacy choice, if you have made one, is saved the same way so it holds. Both stay on your device until you clear them, through the Cookie settings link or by clearing site data for this website in your browser.
Analytics and conversion measurement
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used. When you send a form or book a call, the website tells Google Analytics that an inquiry or booking happened, along with which form it was and the page it came from, so the inquiry can be credited to the search or the advertisement that produced it. When we run Google Ads campaigns, the same result is reported to Google Ads for the same reason. We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number, your product specification, or anything you typed into a message or notes field. Google processes analytics data as our service provider under its own terms; you can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Who we share information with
We share information only where it is needed to do the thing you asked for, or where the law requires it. The companies that may handle it are:
- Google (Google Workspace): our email, calendar, and Google Meet. Every email we send you, every appointment, and the studio’s copy of each inquiry lives there. Google also provides the analytics and advertising measurement described above.
- Hostinger: the company that hosts this website and its form and booking endpoints, and keeps the standard server records described above.
- Rippey Marketing: the agency that built and maintains this website and runs our marketing. It receives a copy of website inquiries so it can keep the forms working and measure the marketing, under a duty of confidentiality, and it does not use your information for anything else.
- MailerLite: the service we use to send the newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address is stored there for that purpose, and every issue carries an unsubscribe link.
- Professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Each provider handles your information under its own terms in addition to this policy, and we give each of them only what its service requires. We do not authorize any of them to use your information for their own marketing. If Dip Studio is ever reorganized or combined with another company, prospective client information would move with the business, subject to the same commitments that protect it now.
How long we keep information
- Inquiries and estimates: kept in our mailbox for as long as we are talking, and for a reasonable period after so we can pick the thread back up if you return. Tell us and we will delete them sooner.
- Bookings: the appointment stays on our calendar as a record that the call happened.
- Unfinished bookings: deleted automatically after 90 days, or sooner if you ask.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the link in any issue.
- Server and submission logs: kept in rotating files that are overwritten as new entries arrive.
- Analytics: Google Analytics keeps user-level data for the retention period set in our account, and reports only in aggregate after that.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or strip out the details that identify you.
How we protect information
This website is served over an encrypted connection. The keys that connect it to our calendar and email are stored on the server outside the public website, never in the pages you download, and access to our mailbox and calendar is limited to the people at the studio who need it. We do not take payments through this website and hold no card numbers.
No website or email system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a message sent over the internet will not be intercepted or arrive late. That is a limit of the technology, not a disclaimer of our responsibility for what we hold. If you are about to tell us something genuinely sensitive about an unreleased product, ask us for a non-disclosure agreement first; we sign them routinely.
Your privacy rights
Whatever the law where you live requires, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you and where it came from, give you a copy, correct what is wrong, delete what we no longer need, and stop sending you marketing. Write to the address at the bottom of this page. We will ask enough to be reasonably sure you are who you say you are, and we will answer within the time the applicable law allows, or within 30 days if none applies. We will never refuse you service or treat you differently because you exercised a privacy right. Not every privacy law reaches a studio of our size, and we would rather not draw that line: if you ask us what we hold about you, we will tell you.
Notice to California residents
In the past twelve months we have collected the categories of personal information described under What we collect: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), commercial information (the project or estimate you asked about), and internet activity (pages visited and how you arrived). We collect it from you and from your browser, use it for the purposes under How we use your information, and disclose it only to the service providers under Who we share information with. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out in any case. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. California residents may exercise the rights described above, including through an authorized agent, and will not be discriminated against for doing so.
If you are outside the United States
Our studio, our staff, and the systems described in this policy are in the United States, and our providers may process information there. If you contact us from another country, your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States, whose privacy laws may differ from your own. Where the law of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland applies to us, we rely on your consent where we have asked for it, on the steps you ask us to take before entering into an agreement, on our legitimate interests in running, securing, and improving a design studio, weighed against your rights, and on our legal obligations. You may access, correct, delete, restrict, or transfer your information, object to processing based on our legitimate interests, withdraw a consent, and complain to the data protection authority where you live. We would rather you came to us first.
Children
This website is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Websites we link to
This website links to Instagram, LinkedIn, and other sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we change the date at the top of the page, and if the change is significant we say so here. If you have an active booking or an open conversation with us and a change affects it, we will tell you directly.
What changed on September 6, 2026. This policy was rewritten for the new website. It now describes the on-site call scheduler and what it records, the follow-up for unfinished bookings, the guide download email, advertising measurement for the campaigns we plan to run, and the service providers involved. The Cookie settings opt-out and the Global Privacy Control behavior are unchanged.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, where the studio is located, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where the law of another place applies to you and cannot be waived.
